Berl Brechner Photography

Berl Brechner is a veteran journalist, magazine writer/editor and photographer who has spent a lifetime behind his camera. Traditionally using only film with his beloved Nikon FM and FTn, Berl reluctantly adopted digital photography, using a DSLR, but also pushing boundaries with small point-and-shoot cameras.   His images are now gently processed through Adobe Lightroom, without special effects or layering, but with modest adjustments to tone, clarity and color to reflect more what the eye is seeing.

Berl's work, with its focus on nature, hidden detail,  and local landmarks and scenes,  has been featured around New York's Hudson Valley region and in Santa Fe, NM.
